Welcome to the Holiday Villa, the ideal location for your self catering holiday in Cornwall. The villa is situated just a short distance from the beach making it the perfect destination for your family holiday.

The accommodation:

Ground floor entrance to:

Lounge/Diner - Spacious open plan room (24' x 16' approx.). Lovely south-facing bay window gives this room a light and airy feel. 49 inch Smart TV (Netflix) & DVD player with film library. Bluetooth Speaker (Apple lightningdock) . Leads on to:

Kitchen - with ceramic hob, double oven with grill, microwave, toaster, 'fridge/ freezer , and good selection of utensils.

Master bedroom (15' x 14' approx.) - king-size bed; leads on to luxury shower room/ wc (shared with bedroom 2). Cot available for use in either bedroom. 

From lounge/diner, stairs (with moveable stairgate) lead up to:

double bed and two bunk beds; Digital TV, Table Football Table - sliding door leads to:

- with fantastic view of the beach and headland.

Other Facilities:

Drive with parking for up to 2 cars, Gardens - patio adjacent to the Villa (with table & chairs, rotary clothes line); steps down to lower garden . 

For those bad weather days, we provide a good range of games and books for all ages, even a toy cupboard for the little ones. Nintendo WII Console.

Services:

All bed linen, towels (except beach towels), heat and electricity are included. Tea towels and cleaning items are provided in the kitchen. The washing machine in the main house may be used for a charge of £5 per load, including detergent. Babysitting service available. Pizza's and Pasties available to Order. 

Facilities at Holywell Bay

Apart from the marvellous beach, Holywell has two pubs offering food and entertainment The Treguth Inn and Holywell Beach Bar, A short drive up the hill (15-20 minute walk) is Holywell Bay Golf Course an 18-hole Golf Course (Par 3 - no handicap necessary), an 18 Hole Challenging Pitch & Putt, and a new Crazy Golf.

Two minutes drive out of Holywell, you will find the beautiful village of CUBERT, with its distinctive church.  Cubert has a post office/general store, Bakery /tea room, fish & chip shop, and pub (Smugglers Den) with good food and real ales.

Across the A3075 you will find the village of ST NEWLYN EAST, with its historic church, excellent butcher's shop (Georges Butchers), the Lappa Valley Railway and the National Trust property Trerice.

Around & About

Festivals: In the summer months, the area around The Holiday Villa hosts some of Cornwall's most well known festivals such as Boardmasters Surf Festival in Newquay, The Sundowner Sessions at Lusty Glaze, Tunes in the Dunes on Perranporth Beach and varied music events at the Eden Project, all are within easy reach of the property. There is something for everyone, acoustic sets on the beach as the sun sets into the sea, to some of the largest chart toppers on enormous main stages. 

Bring the Walking Boots: Walk  the coast path and experience some of the UK's most breath-taking seascapes. Nearby Crantock and Polly Joke offer stunning coastal walks and the beautiful Holywell bay is a dog-friendly beach all year round. See if you can spot the small Island with its Seals basking in the sun on the way to Polly Joke.

Eden Project is well worth a visit, as are the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the numerous National Trust properties and gardens scattered across the county. 

Golf: Apart from Holywell Bay Golf Course  The Holiday Villa is close to some of the finest golf courses in the South West of England. 

Nearest Beaches 0.1 miles to Holywell Bay, 5.2 miles to Perranporth, 3.6 miles to Crantock. Crantock and Poly Joke (Porth Joke) beaches can be easily reached by Coastal Path walk. Polly Joke is approximately a 20 minute walk away. Crantock Beach an extra 10 minutes or so.

Surfing: Don't miss the opportunity to grab a board and catch the Cornish waves. We have some body boards for guests to borrow or for Surfing Lessons we recommend Holywell Bay School of Surf. The stretch of coastline near the cottage is world-renowned for great surf throughout the year.  After why not visit the Lewinnick Lodge at the top of the cliffs and enjoy a great meal while enjoying the stunning vista. 

Harbour Towns Head to the south coast to experience old fashioned Cornish living. Explore the picturesque fishing villages of Fowey and Charlestown have a gentler pace to villages on the north, or take an afternoon drive visiting  Port Issac, Tintagel and Boscastle, featured in ITV series Doc Martin. Further away wander the narrow roads of St Ives and Mousehole, visiting idyllic little cafes, art galleries and boutique shops.

Cornish Wine - Visit the Camel Valley Vineyard. Enjoy a wondeful afternoon at Cornwall's largest vineyard. Situated on the banks above the River Camel, these award-winning, world-class wines have been produced in north Cornwall since 1989 Try their Bacchus!. Idyllically sat on sunny slopes, the ideal place to stop for an hour or three for lunch and wine tasting whilst cycling the Camel Trail. 

Fishing: Apart from the great sea fishing available from Holywell Bay Beach, on the way to Newquay you will find a coarse fishing centre. Why not book a deep sea fishing trip or Mackerel fishing trip at Newquay Harbour. (Please remember to bring us back some fish!)

Horse Riding - On the outskirts of tNewquay town there are horse riding stables offering treks over the river Gannel estuary.

NEWQUAY (10 minutes drive), world famous for its surfing beaches, has a buzzing nightlife, bustling town centre, and many attractions for all the family, in particular: Newquay Zoo, Newquay Waterworld, Cinema, the Blue Reef Aquarium, and Dairyland. It also has an excellent tennis club (Heron Tennis Centre) , which welcomes non-members. 

PERRANPORTH (10 minutes drive) has a 3 mile-long beach, several pubs and shops, also a convenient doctor's surgery. It also offers a challenging 18 hole golf course.

TRURO (15 - 20 minutes), the cathedral city of Cornwall offers a wide range of shops, a theatre, cinema, leisure centre and ten pin bowling centre.

THE EDEN PROJECT (45 minutes drive) - for a fascinating day out, this is a must. Only a 45 minute drive from Holywell, nestling in a crater overlooking St Austell Bay, you will find Cornwall's No.1 attraction. It is a dramatic global garden the size of thirty football pitches, and hosts rainforests, growing fruits and flowers from all over the world.
